Before todays match the team visited Stonehenge. Impressed, Aaron announced that the rocks were bigger than he thought they would be.
Founded in 1552, King Edwards School is 12 years older that Felsted and has a student population of just over 1000. From the look of the boys warming up, bowling with their off hand, batting with a tennis racket they look more aligned with the attitude of the Newington touring party than some of the other schools.
The match is located at the schools playing fields which are separate from the school.
Aaron is rested today so has a muck around game with the remainder of the seconds team and a few of the Sir’s who are not required for other duties. Only thing of note is Aaron trying his hand at keeping was convinced he caught Sir. Sir on the other hand was equally convinced that he didn’t hit it. Needless to say it was give not out.
A good friendly match, but Newington lose in a close one 7/172 to 8/174 off 29.
